ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Indeed, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Almost every home all over the universe are happily celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. We are celebrating to remember the birth, the death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ who came to the world to wash us with His holy blood to save us from our sins.

The birth of Christ is the hope of the world. He was and will forever be the epitome, the archetype of goodness hope, faith and miracles. His death caused many sins to be washed away. His resurrection caused the world to believe that He is truly the Son of God. Every Christmas, the 25th of December, we celebrate with our minds set on the essence and purpose of Christmas; it is to be merry, to celebrate the sacrifice of God and the mightiness of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the moment to feast for it is the day when Christ the King was born.

The real essence of Christmas should always linger on our hearts and minds. May the spirit of Christmas be with us.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Discrimination is spreading to the horizon of every nation. There are those whose rights are degraded. Some's abilities are being wasted. Some, even though they have the skills for a certain work is jobless because of their disabilities. People of the world is discriminated and discriminating, not respecting equality, and violating their human rights.

Not all can be given the opportunity to work in a certain country yet all can be given equal rights. Not all can apply to work for a person or company yet anyone can build or make their own job. PWDs, especially in public places should be respected treated as how we normal people are treated. Each of us should know the real meaning of equality to obtain the peace so that everyone will be given the respect and their rights will be valued; for us to walk anywhere, freely in public, not hiding the real us. We will spread our arms open wide into reality without being degraded and violated. We should not discriminate for we are all children and creation of thee Lord Almighty.

To live a peaceful and joyful life, we must practice into ourselves the respect towards others with or without disability. Treat every individual right, respecting their human rights.

CORRECTION WITH CARE AND LOVE

Children are the future of the world. There’s no doubt in it. As they grow, they become more influential whether for good or not. As they grow and their knowledge widens, they can lead nations in just a single word or in just a snap. If we want a better future of the world, teach them discipline. Take good care of them but not in the point that you’ll spoil them. Correct them with their wrongdoings and they’ll grow well-disciplined.

From Adam and Eve came generations until the earth was filled with children. Generations multiplied but as children grow, some are growing ill-mannered. They become youths lacking goodness. They influence people and children, showing them what they know is right in their own eyes., leaning unto their own understanding. One of the reasons is because of parents lacking affection, attention and care to their child, resulting them to be rebellious. They are spoiled to the point that they don’t want to be corrected. This children’s appreciation month, may we all show love towards them.  Love that corrects and love that will make them understand the right thing to do. Show them, act that you love them with pure hearts even by giving them little attention and time, not just by words. Make them feel loved, show them their worth. Yes, you may give what the child wants, but make sure you’ll give him/her what he/she needs.

The result of the future lies in the hands of our children. Teach them how to be kind with love into your actions and words. With these, we’ll be reassured that the world is in good hands.

GADGETS FOR GOOD PURPOSES

Technology is spreading quickly and widely throughout the globe. People would say you were born in the first centuries or you were born just yesterday if you don't know gadgets. They will say you are outdated if you don't know this kind of technologies. Kids, even at a young age know how to access these gadgets. They own one or more of different kinds. They are updated and never run out of news especially those that are running through the internet. These are helpful but nowadays, some are using these wrongly.

Gadgets were made for us to have easier life. We use these to search things easily even without going to the library. But as these kind of technologies broadens, some use these in wrong ways. They use these new-found technology to spread hoax and rumors. They are using these to woo, date or communicate with their partners. Because of these, they are using these to ask the ones they like out. They are forgetting the way on how to get a girl's heart. They are forgetting the old times. But let us start within ourselves to spread the truth. Use yourself to tell everyone especially the youth that old-school, old ways, old fashions are still the best. Spread widely that gadgets is for communication and emergency purposes, not for dating, to woo. Spread that gadgets are made for good purposes.

Use modern technologies wisely. use it for the purpose of good deeds not for spreading lies and bashing artists or anyone on the social medias. Use gadgets right, not for spreading lies.

Read and You'll Succeed

The month of November celebrates the National Reading Month with the theme, "Pagbasa: Susi ng Magandang Kinabukasan". The theme says that reading is the key of a better future, and I believe in it. As we read, we learn, and as we know hot to read, we understand, and we apply reading, we will succeed. Reading has so much role and it's an important path for us to reach our goals. From our home, we were already taught by our parents how to write; starting with our names, to English Alphabet numbers, colors and shapes. Until we go to higher learning. We entered nursery and elementary, secondary until we graduate with our chosen course, reading is a part of our success.

Yes, we were taught how to write, but we can not write all alone if we don't know how to read. Yes, we learned, but we don't know how to study with all by ourselves if we don't know how to read. We gain knowledge through listening but we will learn deeper when reading. Through reading, we can learn how to stand all alone, and we can understand more. Reading is the best way to  understand things broader. Without reading, we are like blind. Without it, we are like walking through darkness without something to light us up. We can't see that's why we stumble too many times, and worst we feel scared and wounded physically and even mentally. Without reading, we are like dead, we feel so cold knowing nothing, and feeling nothing. Reading is our light. It is the fire that keeps on burning within us that keeps our soul alive. With reading, we wander more, we get curious but it helps us to find answers. It is a path that leads us. We can see clearer visions even the lights are dim, even darkness is around us. It is our hope. It is our teacher, it helps us in understanding, and analyzing even without guidance.

Read even when we grow old. Reading is very helpful. We know more about things. It clears the complications, the problems in our minds. It solves the mystery of whatever we feel so unknown. Value reading, and our wisdom widens, broadens, and deepens. Read, and you will succeed.

Reflection (2nd Grading)

We have gone through difficulties. We had thoughts of giving up because we're all so tired. We were stressed, but still, we had hopes and we rose up.

We already are finished with the half of the school year. As time went by, our understanding and knowledge about our topics are getting broader each new day. We discover new things. And as we are in the proccess of gaining, sometimes, we feel like we are overloading our brains with different things about school. There are those extents that we feel like we will just let failures consume us. But then, we made this failures into motivation for us to reach whatever our goals are. We just beed to be more firm and strong to handle things, even at complicated situations, even at dividing our time wisely so that we can still cope up with whatever lessons we can not understand.

There are really those times of tears shed because of too much stress. To avoid it, let's all relax, breath in, and focus intently but not too much so that our brain cells will still function very well even at stakes of trials and circumstances. Let's all learn to value time management, and value education.

Equality for World Peace(UN MONTH)

The thought of peace, love and unity is not new to us as humans, as individuals and as citizens. War to peace, hate to love, division to unity. Peace shines, love wins, unity matters. World peace is imporant.

Every nation has uniqueness and differences. Every country differs in language, in culture, beliefs, colors, but we are all harmonious luke music having a beautiful different beats but tuned as one. As we celebrate the United Nations Month with the theme, "Coming together with those furthest behind to build an inclusive world of universal respect and dignity," may we all learn to value respect, even those who belong to poor country, but consider them as our own brothers and sisters. Let's show equality no matter what the country's state is, still let's all treat each and everyone fair, whether they are working as a domestic helper to your home, treat them as family, if you can't, as a human God made as a sign of respect to their country, not as an animal who caused trouble. Treat everyone well, not being one of the judgmental people, not joining the judgmental society.

  1. We must look-up into each other. Let's all hope for better world by knowing and being aware of equality between or among every citizens, whether from our country or not. We must respect each other, be united as one to keep the world peace, to stop those wars, violence and judgments of the society.

Real Heroes of the Nation(WORLD TEACHERS' DAY)

When we were still children up to now, we tend to watch fairy tales, action movies and superheroes. In the movies, superheroes are admired by the incredible strength they have, the bravery to fight for peace and the heart to save the world. They have superpowers and they have their enemies, and in the end they will succeed and filled with fulfilment. But then, they are only found in fantasies. In reality, our real superheroes are without supernatural powers, supernatural strength but they are always ready to save the world through teaching.

Teachers are the real superheroes. They teach us with love, care and willingness. They gain knowledge from us as we gain knowledge from them. Through them, we are always educates in discipline. They teach us with all their strength for us to have a better future. They teach us which are right and wrong, right and left, colors, numbers, everything we need from basics to complicated. By the end of the day, they will be tired teaching numerous students. But as years go by, when their former student succeeds, they too are successful. There's no other profession if there are no teachers to guide them.

Teachers teach us not only lessons but also the values in life. They are one of the motivation we have. We need to learn how to love them as our parents. We must thank them for every accomplishments we have done. Everyday, thank our teachers. They are truly heroes of the nation, saving our future for a better world.

Show Your Hidden Talents (Science Month Celebration)

Every year, in the month of September, ISNHS celebrates the Science Month. This year, the theme was "WAVEFRONT: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancement."

One of the most awaited month is the Science Month Celebration, especially the highlights and activities of the said celebration. In their activities, they accentuate the potentials of each student; participant or non-participant. They make students go out of the box and share the talent, beauty and wit they have. In this celebration, they also make use and gain more knowledge on how to activate the advancement of technologies, for good use because we all know that the world now is getting broader when it comes to technologies.

In this activity, we must know how to share our thoughts, potentials, and to activate the technological advance in order for us to gain more knowledge and deeper wisdom.

The Positive and Fighting Spirits (PHILIPPINE RESILIENCY)

The Philippines is located near West Basin and at the Pacific Ring of Fire that's why it is called a "disaster-prone" country. It experiences a lot of of disaster like volcanic eruption, earthquake, and typhoons. There are 20-26 typhoons entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility and the Philippines already experienced war.

The Filipinos had faced a lot of challenges in life. These include the war in Marawi. Last May 23, 2017, the Battle of Marawi started. It was a 5-month long armed conflict between the Philippine Government Security Forces, and Maute and Abusayaff groups. The war ended on October 23, 2017. the typhoon Yolanda, also known as "typhoon Haiyan" devastated some portions of the Southeast Asia, and one of the country who suffered from the typhoon is the Philippines. People died, many innocent lives were taken, some went missing, some drowned in the flood, some sacrificed, but despite of these disasters, Filipinos still smile like how the Sun shines, even though we went through a lot of difficulties.

Filipinos are flexible. They still manage to stay happy and be at peace even though pain is killing them. They learn to accept and let go, although they can't forget the sorrow. Resiliency can be seen. how they cope up with the hatreds, pain and sorrows, and they still have hope for a better tomorrow. They still have faith to God, holding unto His promise and as their savior. You can see how their faith and braveness outshine even death is surrounding them.

On 26th January, Dr. Mitra's team carved a "hole in the wall" that separated the NIIT premises from the adjoining slum in Kalkaji, New Delhi. Through this hole, a freely accessible computer was put up for use. This computer proved to be an instant hit among the slum dwellers, especially the children. With no prior experience, the children learnt to use the computer on their own.

6. What could be the implications of this finding to existing teaching practices especially those that are related with the use of ICT in learning?
Mitra wants children around the globe, in addition to traditional schooling, to get a chance to participate in self-organized learning. Translation: to spend time in learning environments where they are given the space to explore on their own, make discoveries and share them with their peers. In his talk from the TED stage, Mitra offered a bold wish: to help design the future of learning by supporting children in tapping into their innate sense of wonder. To this end, Mitra asked the TED community to help him create the School in the Cloud, a learning lab in India where children can embark on intellectual adventures, connecting with information and mentors online. He also asked the community, wherever they may be, to create child-driven learning environments for the kids in their own lives.

Plant Nutritious Food and Harvest Flourishing Life

Every year, we celebrate the Nutrition Month in July, and a theme is being released by the National Nutrition Council. ISNHS students join different contest in connection to the Nutrition Month Celebration, and the highlight is the Nutri Jingle competition wherein participants make a piece or composition regarding the month's theme and choreograph a sing and dance to present it on contest. This 2018, the theme is, "Ugaliing Magtanim, Sapat na Nutrition Aanihin."

Growing crops give us a lot of advantages, through physical and financial means. Financially, it helps us save and gain. Save, because instead of buying them in the market, we are just going to pick on the garden. Gain, because if we harvest more of it, we can sell them and we can gain money. Physically, because as we eat freshly harvest nutritious foods and eat healthy foods everyday because you have the means to have those, your body will be healthy. You're not easily inclined to illness. You're less or not prone to diseases.

We should learn how to apply this in our lives. Let us do the right thing. As what the theme for me says, we should sow or grow crops or plants that are nutritious and healthy and we'll reap and harvest a flourishing and bountiful life.

Commemorate the Origin of Philippine Sovereignty

Philippines was colonized because of its beauty. For long years, Filipinos were treated wrong. Lives were taken, women were violated and mistreated. Filipinos became the slave of its own country. But as years went by, the Philippines won over its freedom.

June 12, 2018, marked 120th Philippine Independence Day. After Philippines suffered from the Spaniards to Americans and to the Japanese, Filipinos conquered, defeated and won over our freedom. Lives were taken, innocent bloods shed, tears overflowed, but with the leadership of our heroes, the Philippines raised its flag, sewn by Marcela Marino de Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo, and Delfina Herbosa de Natividad on May 28, 1898, but was officially unfurled on June 12, 1898 by the first president of the Republic of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo. We celebrate the Independence day to remember the bravery and sacrifice of our forefathers for our country to be free. It is for us to remember the hardships of the Filipinos who fought and give their lives just for us to be free and, it is for us to thank them for giving the Philippines the treatment and love she deserves, for us to have the justice and sovereignty.

Let's not forget everything that happened in our history. Although the bitterness and pain is there, the sweetness and success be important. Let's value the thing's they left. Let's value all what they gave for us to have a brighter future. Let's continue to rise up and wave our flag. Let's be proud that we're Filipinos, a blood of brave, a blood of pure hearts.
